About you

You should have a minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or Business Administration or other related field with good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures with working experience in a program management environment. You should have a minimum of 5 years or more experience as a finance officer or a similar role.

About the role

The overall purpose of the position is to contribute and support the effectiveness of Nutrition International (NI) programs in Pakistan by supporting the Finance department’s management of accounting systems, policies and procedures in compliance with NI’s established accounting standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), donors’ rules and regulations, and legal requirements in Pakistan. In this role you will be responsible to:

  • Review, process and validate supporting documentation of financial transactions to ensure all required documents are accurate and complete for partners, vendors, consultants, NI staff and other operational transactions as per GAAP and NI policies.
  • Record financial transactions following appropriate authorizations and approvals in the NI Accounting systems.
  • Ensure all payments are completed on time and accurately.
  • Assist in coordination of annual statutory, program and internal audits, including preparation of financial statements, reports and supporting documentation as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of periodic statutory returns/statements for the Country Office
  • Support the month-end/year-end closure process; prepare delegated financial reports and share, as required.
