Required Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge and understanding of Education related issue in Pakistan. S/he must possess skills to work in difficult situation, and have good social mobilization skills, leadership skills, team building, and good communication, coordination skills. S/he has good computer knowledge, willing to travel in assigned locations within the district. S/he must have understanding and fluency in local languages.

Qualification: B.A / B.Sc. or equivalent similar degree

Job Responsibilities: Understand the key issues being faced by the education sector in Pakistan and the responsibility of the government, parents, and politicians in addressing these issues. The candidate must have minimum one year experience to work on social mobilization/community mobilization, preferably education related projects. Understanding of the three tiers of social mobilization and work experience with RSPs fostered Local Support Organizations (LSOs), community instructions, school management committees will be an added advantage.

Major duties:

  • Conduct the introductory dialogues in the community for the introduction of project and objectives.
  • To oversee the working of LSOs/CRPs and community groups in quality data collection at out of school children’s data & school level data
  • Hold regular meetings with School Administration in target areas for establishment of ECE centers in schools, teachers training, enrolment and retention of children.
  • Regular tracking of enrolled children to ensure the retention of school children. 
  • Conduct training/orientation of the LSOs/CRPs/PTCs/SMCs on their assigned roles and responsibilities.
  • Engage LSOs/VOs and community groups in identification and selection of local Primary Schools/ Spaces for;
    • Establishment or Construction of Early Childhood Education Centers and play areas
    • Establishment of NFE center in second shift classes
    • Establishment of Menstrual Hygiene Management – MHM corners and rehabilitation of girl’s washroom for provision of low cost MHM products/kits at Girls Schools with the help of school administration / trained young girls.
    • Identification and selection of most vulnerable girls to provide cash-based support to overcome financial barriers to education.
    • Make all logistic arrangements for training of LSOs/CRPs /PTCs/SMCs and act as principal trainer
    • Validate a certain percentage of the session conducted by the Teachers on MHM in schools to assess the quality of the sessions.
    • Monitor and validate the activities of the LSOs/ CRPs and ensure quality of their work and provide supportive supervision to them.
    • Provide support to LSO/community groups to update the out of school children & School level data on six monthly bases with the support of VOs in each union council.
    • Support LSOs and SMCs to organize Enrolment campaigns at UC & District level and keep record of out of school-girls enrolled in schools and ECEs.
    • Ensure to implement the activities as per the approved workplan form the donor.
    • Ensure the monthly/quarterly meetings of the LSOs.
    • Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor/ Management
