Qualification:
- DAE (Electronics / Automation / Instrumentation)
Experience:
- Minimum 05 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, Chemical or Petrochemical industry.
Skills:
- Knowledge and experience of Oil & Gas production, process and utilities systems, operations and wells.
- Working experience of Control System (PLC, DCS), Safety Systems (ESD, Fire and Gas), Oil & Gas production, Process and Utilities systems in the role of Instrument Technician.
- Candidate should have sound knowledge and skills for operation and maintenance of instrumentation and control equipment.
- Should have sound knowledge and skills for operation and maintenance of instrumentation and control equipment.
- Should have sound knowledge and skills for the maintenance and troubleshooting of transmitters, pressure and temperature switches, control valves and analyzers.
- Should have sound knowledge of parameters and operation of engines and compressors.
- Experience on Gas Turbine and turbo machinery would be additional advantage.
- Should have sound understanding of Safety standards and procedures, PTW and PPEs related to Oil and Gas sector.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform the routine maintenance and adjust the condition of instrument assets: Plant Instrumentation, Fire & Gas System, Emergency Shutdown System and Metering System.
- Perform and document maintenance, calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, repair of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic instruments and systems.
- Calibrate, troubleshooting and repair plant instrumentation i.e. transmitters, analyzers, control valve, switches and relays etc.
- Inspect, repair and replace transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring and electrical systems.
- Work with a wide variety of instruments including, ultrasonic, guided wave radar, mass flow, pressure transducers, RTDs, Thermocouple etc.
- Maintain files, logs and drawings for all designated instrumentation equipment.
- Maintain instrumentation spare parts inventory to maintain plan reliability.
- Understand piping and instrument diagrams, signal flow diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel drawing, one-line drawing, loop sheets and wire lists.
- Perform all duties in manner consistent with environmental, health and safety policies.
- Participate in the planning and execution of minor and major jobs. Provide technical and hands on support as required during shutdowns.
- Able to work off instrument drawings and P&ID's, identify end devices and components.
